on

Nobody saw the dumpster fire that was 2020 coming, but as awful as this whole year was, there did come a silver lining in November, when the Oval Office interloper was given his eviction notice finally. FINALLY!

With the most terrible year of all of our lives finally in our rear view mirror, let’s have a look at the songs that grabbed our attention in 2020.

As per usual, these 21 songs are ranked based on each title’s performance on the Bent*Spun 21 from the chart dated January 5, 2020 through to the chart dated December 27, 2020. Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at No. 21 earning the least.

In 2020, country hottie Sam Hunt clinches the MVP title on the year-end countdown with three tracks from his recent album Southside. It’s a feat he’s no stranger to: in 2015, the singer from Georgia racked up four hits on the year-end tally, all from his debut Montevallo. The question is: does he have this year’s No. 1 song?
